They’ve launched a major crackdown on illegal transport. Over the last couple of days, they’ve been inspecting vehicles around the city. The investigation found many vehicles overloaded and operating without proper permits.

The RTO has set up four teams to check major roads and highways. They’ve already inspected over 200 tourist vehicles. About 35 of those were caught breaking the rules. Some didn’t have permits, while others were just plain unsafe.

An RTO official mentioned that overloading is a big safety risk. It’s one of the main reasons for accidents. This drive is all about making sure private tourist vehicles follow the rules. They plan to keep doing random checks to ensure everyone is compliant.

This crackdown comes after several accidents involving overloaded vehicles. The RTO is determined to improve road safety and prevent future tragedies.
