Prayagraj: So, there was this really sad stampede at the Maha Kumbh recently. It happened early in the morning and, unfortunately, around 30 people lost their lives, with many more injured. The scene was chaotic as thousands of devotees rushed to take part in the rituals.

Now, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to stop trains from arriving in the city to manage the crowd. People coming from Pune and other places are having a tough time getting to the Kumbh site because of the massive crowds.

The Central Railway has been running special trains to help with the influx, but it seems like they’re all packed to the brim. Trains that left Pune on January 28 are stuck at outer stations, and it’s just a mess.

One guy, Ketan from Pune, shared that his group had to walk a long way from the station to the Kumbh site because there was no room for vehicles. It’s just wild out there.

Another person, Reshma, is really worried about her elderly parents who went to Prayagraj. She mentioned they couldn’t afford flights, so they took a special train. After hearing about the stampede, she’s been on edge.

Authorities say the stampede happened when everyone was trying to get to the holy Sangam for a dip, especially on Mauni Amavasya, which is a big deal for many. It’s just a tough situation for everyone involved.
