Shakti Pawar from Pune shines bright, winning her third consecutive gold at the Republic Day Parade, making her family and city proud
She draws a lot of her inspiration from her mom, who’s a police officer and was an NCC cadet at the parade 36 years ago. Shakti shared how proud she felt to be recognized as the best in India, especially with her mom cheering her on from the audience.
Being part of the 3 Maharashtra Air Squadron, she’s grateful for the support from her Commanding Officer and instructors. They really helped her shine.
This isn’t just a one-time thing either. It’s the third year in a row that a cadet from her squadron has made it to the podium. Last year, Cadet Warrant Officer Kushi took home the gold, and the year before that, Vaibhavi Vyas snagged the silver.
And let’s not forget about the junior division! Cadet Atreyi Kaul, also from the same squadron, won a bronze medal. She’s just a ninth grader and already making waves. What a talented bunch!
