Pune: CREDAI members are really worried. They say over 100 big construction projects in Pune are stuck. Why? Environmental clearance issues are causing major delays. Developers are getting notices from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board too.

Manish Kaneria, from CREDAI Pune Metro’s Environment Committee, shared that while developers are trying to follow the rules, some activists are making things tough for them. He noted that developers are working on the issues raised in those notices.

Naiknavare pointed out that vehicle emissions are a big problem for air quality in Pune. Plus, dust from construction sites isn’t helping either. The Pune Municipal Corporation is keeping an eye on how well the rules are being followed to cut down on pollution.

Muralidhar Mohol talked about tackling traffic jams in Pune. He mentioned plans for new roads and better infrastructure soon. There’s also talk about a new airport and new water pipelines to keep up with the city’s growth.

Naiknavare suggested that the government should lower taxes for the housing sector. This could help make homes more affordable. He also thinks increasing home loan subsidies would boost sales of affordable housing.
