Akasa Air is now offering daily flights from Pune to Prayagraj, making it easier for devotees to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela.
Now, Punekars can finally relax. Akasa Air has stepped up and announced daily flights from Pune to Prayagraj, with a stop in Delhi. These flights will run from January 28 to February 28, just in time for the festivities.
Praveen Iyer, one of the co-founders of Akasa Air, shared that they’re thrilled to support this significant spiritual event. He mentioned how important it is for pilgrims and how these flights will help boost the local economy in Prayagraj. They’re looking forward to welcoming travelers and hope everyone enjoys their journey with Akasa.
The flight schedule is pretty convenient. Flight QP 1807 leaves Pune at 7:30 AM, gets to Delhi by 9:45 AM, and then heads to Prayagraj, landing at 12:15 PM. On the flip side, flight QP 1808 departs Prayagraj at 12:05 PM, reaches Delhi at 2:20 PM, and returns to Pune by 5:15 PM.
With the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela, the rush is palpable. Kalpana Chavan, a senior citizen, expressed her group’s desire to attend but mentioned the challenges of traveling by train or bus. They’re hoping for a direct flight option to make things easier.
Aviation expert Dhairyashil Vandekar also weighed in, emphasizing the need for direct flights from Pune to Prayagraj, especially given the large number of devotees. While other travel options are available, many prefer the convenience of flying. There’s hope that local leaders will consider this demand, especially during such a significant event.
