Pune: Union minister Murlidhar Mohol just announced some exciting news! There’s a plan for an International Convention Centre right here in Pune. The chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, has given the green light, but we’re still waiting on land allocation.

Mohol mentioned that Pune is buzzing with job opportunities and new industries popping up everywhere. He said they had a long meeting with the chief minister to discuss this project and others. It sounds like they’re really thinking ahead for the city.

He also pointed out that they need either the state government or the Pune Municipal Corporation to step up and provide the land for this centre. They’re already working on the details, so things are moving along.

Oh, and there’s also talk about the Purandar airport project. Mohol said the chief minister is aiming to have it up and running by 2029, with land acquisition starting soon.

Mohol is all about planning for Pune’s future. He mentioned projects like a 24/7 water supply and sourcing more water from Mulshi Dam to meet the growing needs of the city. It’s clear they’re gearing up for the next 50 years!
