Mumbai: Indian Railways is stepping up its game with the new Push-Pull technology. This cool system uses two locomotives, one at each end of the train. It helps the train speed up faster and cuts down travel time.

The Amrit Bharat Express, launched in 2023, is one of the latest trains using this tech. And did you know? The CSMT-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express is India’s first-ever Push-Pull train.

This train runs between Mumbai and Delhi, making the journey quicker and smoother. It’s a big deal for the government’s “Mission Raftar” initiative, aiming to boost train speeds across the country.

The Rajdhani Express is not just about speed; it’s also about comfort and reliability. It recently celebrated its 6th anniversary, having started service on January 19, 2019.

Initially, it had a mix of AC coaches and a pantry car. Due to its popularity, more coaches were added soon after it launched.

Over the years, the train’s frequency increased from bi-weekly to daily service, making it even more convenient for travelers.

Covering 1543 km in about 17 hours and 55 minutes, it leaves Mumbai at 4 PM and arrives in Delhi the next morning. It’s a great option for anyone looking to travel between these two bustling cities.
