A massive rally in Pimpri-Chinchwad saw 35,000 cyclists come together to promote the conservation of the Indrayani River, showcasing community spirit.
Dignitaries from all over were there, including some big names from Uttar Pradesh. The vibe was electric, kind of like a festival. They kicked things off early in the morning with a saffron flag waving. Cyclists rode different distances, all while promoting a great cause.
This was the 9th year for the Indrayani River Cyclothon, and it was all about traffic rules and road safety. Everyone got T-shirts, medals, and snacks.
One of the coolest parts? Differently-abled individuals joined in, making it even more special. They even had a Ganga Aarti to honor the river. Plus, there were fun Zumba performances, and everyone, including Landge, got involved.
Landge shared how important river conservation is for the city. He thanked everyone for their support and emphasized the need to keep our traditions alive. The commissioner also spoke about how this event helps raise awareness and encourages the youth to get involved. It’s all about making our environment cleaner and better for everyone.
