Pune Residents of Pimple Saudagar Urge Police to Tackle Noise Pollution

Pune: Residents in Pimple Saudagar are really fed up with the noise pollution in their area. They’ve been dealing with loud music and firecrackers, especially during late-night events. It’s been a real struggle for many families.

One resident, Tanzila Sheikh, shared how late-night weddings disrupt their peace. She mentioned that event organizers just don’t seem to care about the noise complaints. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to get some sleep.

Another resident, Aruna Chaudhary, is particularly worried about her husband’s health. He’s recovering from a serious condition, and the noise from firecrackers makes things worse. When she asked her neighbors to keep it down, they told her to just move him somewhere else. That’s just not right.

The infrastructure in the area isn’t helping either. Tarannum Sheikh Joshi pointed out that the layout of the roads makes the noise echo, which is scary for kids and tough on sick people.

And let’s not forget about the bikers with their loud modified bikes. They’ve been causing a lot of distress too. Tanzila mentioned how the noise once triggered a panic attack for her. It’s alarming when they act tough, claiming they have political connections.

Residents have tried reaching out to the police for help, but it seems like their complaints are falling on deaf ears. They’re now calling for stricter noise control measures and a better response from local authorities to bring back some peace to their neighborhood.
