Pune, December 26, 2025: Residents living along Pune’s NIBM–Undri Road have raised strong objections to what they describe as growing disturbances caused by restro bars operating in largely residential surroundings. The upscale neighbourhood, they say, has been grappling with late-night noise, illegal parking, and traffic hazards for several months, with little relief despite repeated complaints. The affected societies include Clover Palisades, Natraj Garden, Konark Indrayu Enclave I and II, Clover Hills, Clover Highlands, Clover Pinnacle Ridge, Winspire.
According to residents, rooftop restaurants along this stretch of NIBM–Undri Road routinely play loud music well past midnight, often continuing into the early hours of the morning. While residents have contacted the police control room on several occasions, they allege that action is taken only temporarily, allowing the disturbance to resume shortly after.
Adding to their concerns, loud music is reportedly played round-the-clock in the basement parking area of Clover Hills Plaza. Locals say the constant noise has severely disrupted daily life, affecting senior citizens, children, and those with health issues.

Illegal parking has emerged as another major problem. Visitors to eateries and establishments at Clover Hills Plaza allegedly park their vehicles along the road, reducing carriageway width and increasing the risk of accidents. Residents claim that the situation is worsened by the poor condition of the road, which has not been properly resurfaced by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), further narrowing the usable space for traffic.
Residents state that they have repeatedly submitted written complaints and photographic evidence to the traffic police highlighting the parking violations. They also requested the installation of bollards to prevent vehicles from being parked on the roadside, but allege that these appeals have not been acted upon.
Expressing frustration, a resident said that loud music recently continued until nearly 4 am. “Such disturbances seriously impact senior citizens, unwell residents, and students preparing for examinations. We are only asking for basic enforcement of existing rules,” the resident said.
Locals are now urging the police, PMC, and traffic authorities to conduct regular inspections, enforce noise regulations, and take concrete steps to address illegal parking to restore peace and safety in the neighbourhood.
