Pune: Roseland Residency Row House 1, 2, 3 In Pimple Saudagar Installs 30 KW Solar Power System

Highlighting the need for the project, Treasurer Mr. Vikram Kansara stated that the society had been spending over ₹1.1 lakh every month on electricity expenses from its maintenance funds. Rising power costs made the transition to solar energy a critical and timely decision aimed at long-term financial sustainability.

Secretary Mr. Santosh Singh explained that the society faced unique structural challenges as it consists entirely of row houses without conventional terraces typically used for solar installations. To overcome this limitation, expert civil engineers and architects were consulted. A robust and reliable foundation was subsequently constructed to support the solar panels, with active involvement and oversight from Managing Committee members.

Following the completion of Phase 1, the society is expected to save nearly ₹70,000 per month on electricity bills while reducing consumption by approximately 3,500 units monthly. Chairman Mr. Chetan Kappe noted that beyond financial savings, the project significantly lowers the society’s carbon footprint, reinforcing its commitment to environmentally responsible living.

The Management Committee expressed sincere appreciation for the efforts of active committee members Mr. Pawan Gupta, Mr. Hetal Shah, and Mr. Nishant Malpani, whose dedication was instrumental throughout the planning and execution stages. The committee also acknowledged the valuable inputs and constructive suggestions received from residents, which played a key role in the project’s success.

With this milestone, Roseland Residency has emerged as a model for community-driven renewable energy adoption, paving the way for future phases and inspiring other housing societies to embrace clean and sustainable power solutions.

We are pleased to inform you that Roseland Residency Row House Gate 1–2–3 Co-operative Housing Society has successfully installed a 30 KW Solar Power System as part of Phase 1, which was inaugurated by Management Committee (MC) members on 21st December 2025. This marks one of the most significant initiatives undertaken by our society.

The process of requirement gathering, site identification, and vendor selection began last year under the leadership of our ex-Chairman and current active Managing Committee (MC) member, Mr. Pranab Ghosh.

As highlighted by our Treasurer, Mr. Vikram Kansara, the society has been incurring electricity expenses of more than ₹1.1 lakh per month from maintenance funds, making the solar project one of our most critical needs.

According to our Secretary, Mr. Santosh Singh, since our society consists of row houses, we do not have conventional building terraces suitable for solar installation. To address this challenge, civil engineers and architects were consulted, and a strong and reliable foundation was constructed for the solar panels with the active support of the Managing Committee members.

With the successful completion of Phase 1, we are forecasting monthly savings of approximately ₹70,000, along with a reduction of nearly 3,500 electricity units per month, thereby contributing significantly to a reduced carbon footprint, as stated by our Chairman, Mr. Chetan Kappe.

We sincerely appreciate the dedication and efforts of our active committee members—Mr. Pawan Gupta, Mr. Hetal Shah, and Mr. Nishant Malpani—for their commitment throughout the execution of this project. We also thank all residents who periodically shared valuable inputs and positive suggestions that contributed to the successful completion of this initiative.
