Speaking about the action, Kanade said legal proceedings were initiated against 52 people present at the venue. These included 42 men and women who were participating in the party. An offence was also registered against 10 managers of the pub, of whom two have been remanded to judicial custody by a court.

The main accused, pub owner Amarjeet Singh, is currently absconding, and a search is underway to trace him, Kanade added.
During the raid, the excise team seized furniture, a sound system, a computer, a laptop, around 178 bottles of foreign liquor, and other materials. The total value of the seized items has been estimated at Rs 3.67 lakh.
With several night parties planned across Pune ahead of New Year celebrations, the State Excise Department has formed 21 flying squads to intensify checks and take strict action against illegal liquor parties in the city.
