Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with an assault in the city’s east end earlier this month. 

In a news release Saturday, the Toronto Police Service said they responded to a call for an assault in the area of Woodbine Avenue and Danforth Avenue at approximately 10 p.m. on Dec. 12.

Toronto police say the victim picked up a man in his taxi. The man and the victim had an argument over the fare and the man sprayed the victim with a noxious substance before fleeing the area, Toronto police said Saturday.
