Commenting on Prashant Jagtap’s entry into the Congress, Rohit Pawar said that Jagtap was a good worker, but indicated that the reasons for his exit from the party were different.

Responding to criticism over Sharad Pawar’s proximity to industrialist Gautam Adani, Rohit Pawar clarified that leaders meet industrialists like Tata and Adani for CSR support aimed at public welfare, and such interactions are not politically motivated.

Regarding seat-sharing, discussions are ongoing, with talks suggesting 35 to 40 seats for the Sharad Pawar-led NCP and the remaining seats for the Ajit Pawar faction. A final decision is expected after a meeting, following which the official announcement and candidate list will be released.

Meanwhile, at the city level, Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders held a meeting at Congress Bhavan and reached an agreement on seat-sharing. As per the understanding, Congress will contest 80 seats, allies will get 15 seats, and Shiv Sena (UBT) will contest 65 seats. Some of Shiv Sena (UBT)’s seats may be allotted to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
