Pune city police have busted multiple prostitution rackets operating in different parts of the city following coordinated raids in Koregaon Park and Fursungi. The operations, carried out on specific intelligence inputs, led to the rescue and detention of several women and the arrest of multiple accused allegedly involved in organised exploitation.
In the first operation, Koregaon Park police raided a spa operating under the name Silver Soul Spa after receiving credible information that it was being used for illegal activities. To verify the tip-off, police deployed a decoy customer to the premises. After confirmation, a police team conducted a raid and detained women found at the spa.
During the operation, the spa’s manager, identified as Faizal Ajihoor Rehman Ahmed alias Sameer (38), a resident of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa, was arrested. Police said he was allegedly managing and facilitating prostitution activities at the spa. A case has been registered at the Koregaon Park Police Station, and further investigation is underway to identify other individuals linked to the operation.

The Koregaon Park action was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police with Senior Police Inspector overseeing the investigation and subsequent legal procedures.
In a separate but related operation, Fursungi police raided Crystal Lodge located on the Katraj–Mantarwadi bypass road following information about prostitution activities being run from the premises. During the raid, police found women who were allegedly being exploited for prostitution and detained them for further inquiry and support procedures.
Police arrested four accused in the Fursungi case. According to officials, the accused were allegedly involved in enticing, harbouring, and forcing women into prostitution. A case has been registered at the Fursungi Police Station under relevant sections of the law.
The Fursungi operation was carried out under the supervision of ACP Anuradha Udmale. Senior Police Inspector Rajesh More and Crime Branch Inspector Rajesh Khande are leading the investigation to determine the full scope of the racket and identify any wider network involved.
Police officials said investigations are ongoing in both cases to uncover possible links between organised groups operating across different areas of the city. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to taking strict action against those involved in human trafficking and exploitation, while ensuring appropriate care and legal support for the rescued women.
Law enforcement agencies have also urged citizens to report suspicious activities in spas, lodges, or other establishments, stating that public cooperation plays a crucial role in curbing such crimes.
