Peterborough police have arrested and charged one man with second-degree murder in connection with a homicide in the city earlier this month.
Michael Waterman, 44, has been charged in connection with a homicide in Peterborough December 6 and is also wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing in Oshawa Tuesday, police said in a news release Friday.
Around 3 p.m. Friday, officers with the Investigative Services Unit became aware the suspect was in Peterborough, which led local police to a residence in the Dalhousie Street and Aylmer Street area. Once officers called out to the suspect, Waterman surrendered to police, the release said.
Waterman is being held in custody and will appear in court on Saturday, police said.
