Many Quebecers have found themselves lucky when it comes to winning lotteries, and Loto-Québec says it set a new record in 2025.
With about a week left in the year and $80 million up for grabs in Wednesday night’s Lotto Max draw, someone could join the list of winners who have claimed over $1.7 billion in prizes this year alone, which broke 2024’s record.
Loto-Québec says since January, they’ve awarded 16 jackpots of $5,000,000 or more, and 19 lifetime annuities have been won.

“The year 2025 has been marked by groups of winners sharing major jackpots in 10 Québec regions. I saw the joy expressed by many families and friends all the way to the Basse-Côte-Nord region. It has been a memorable year!” said Isabelle Jean, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Lottery Games at Loto-Québec.
Additionally, lotteries have created over 100 new millionaires across the province.
The biggest win of 2025, was a $70,000,000 Lotto Max jackpot that was split in July between a Montérégie entrepreneur and a Montreal retiree.
On top of Lotto Max, $10 million is up for grabs in the Lotto 6/49 jackpot, which 10 Quebecers won throughout the year.
