Toronto police say a woman is dead after a collision involving several vehicles in the city’s east-end Sunday.

In a post to social media, the Toronto Police Service said they were called to Eglinton Avenue near the Don Valley Parkway ramp shortly after 4 p.m.

Eastbound lanes on Eglinton Avenue were closed Sunday evening at Gervais Avenue and westbound lanes on Eglinton Avenue are closed at Wynford Drive. The Eglinton off ramp from northbound Don Valley Parkway is also closed, Toronto police said.

The 34A bus on Eglinton East is also detouring via Wynford Drive and Gervais Drive due to the collision, the Toronto Transit Commission said in a post to social media Sunday.

Police are on scene and alerting drivers to expect major delays in the area.
