Modern Law College has released land for a crucial road project near SPPU, aiming to ease traffic congestion in the area.
The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) is in charge of building a double-decker flyover along with a metro corridor at that busy spot. They signed the official agreement with the college folks last Friday, which is a step in the right direction.
To keep traffic flowing smoothly, PMRDA and the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) are working together to widen the roads near the university. They had already secured some land from Modern High School, but the land in front of Modern Law College was still up in the air until now.
On Friday, the college finally handed over the necessary documents in front of PMRDA’s bigwigs. They’re also giving ₹52 lakh to help move things like the botanical garden and canteen that are on the college campus. The road work is set to kick off on Monday, and PMC will be overseeing it. So, it looks like some positive changes are on the way for that area!
