Pune: The police recently arrested a 34-year-old man named Ehsan Hafiz Shaikh. He’s been living in India illegally for 20 years. Can you believe it?

Shaikh is originally from Mymensingh in Bangladesh. They found his relatives’ numbers on his phone. He was living in the Maharshi Nagar area when they caught him.

The police got a tip-off and acted quickly. They arrested him after filing a complaint at the Swargate police station. Shaikh crossed the border back in 2004 without any proper documents.

He even managed to get a fake birth certificate in Kolkata. With that, he got other IDs, including an Indian passport. It’s wild how he pulled that off!

When they searched his place, they found a ton of IDs and documents. They seized seven Aadhaar cards, two voter IDs, and even four passports. He had money from several countries too!

Shaikh moved to Pune in 2009 and opened a garment shop in 2012. The police are now investigating him under various laws. It’s a serious situation, and they’re digging deeper into his activities.
